rogue ales public house
last night I rode down to rogue ales public house in north beach with CB (you’d think I live in north beach with all these reviews lately!)
- rogue is a great supplement to other beer bars in the area. it has a great tap list with many rogue offerings as well as plenty of guest taps.
- I started the night of with drake’s denogginizer – it had a very prominent malt backbone and plenty of citrusy hop aroma. I didn’t know this was a double IPA, or I would have probably saved it for last.
- I finished off with a little sumpin’ extra from lagunitas – I love a little sumpin’ sumpin’ and was waiting to try this beer. it did not disappoint – BIG hops with a great smoothness and drinkability.
- CB started off with rogue’s 200 meter IPA – it seemed to be pretty sessionable and well-balanced. he also had rogue’s latona 20th anniversary, which seemed pretty estery and a bit too hot for me.
- I have heard that rogue’s trivia night on thursdays is a good time too, might check that out sometime soon.
